With a speaker that’s 50 per cent louder and up to a 1.5x greater Precision Finding range1, the next generation of AirTag makes it easier than ever to keep track of what matters. Attach one to your keys, slip another in your bag and track all your items in the Find My app.

Make finding a family affair. Share AirTag with up to five people. So items that everyone uses — like an umbrella, a bike or the family car keys — can be tracked by friends and family.

Ping it. Find it. Misplacing something like your keys doesn’t have to be a big deal when it has AirTag attached. Open the Items tab in the Find My app or ask Siri for help if whatever’s missing is hiding nearby. And with a 50 per cent louder speaker, you can now hear AirTag from up to twice as far away.

Cold. Warm.
Warmer. Hot.

If your AirTag is nearby, your iPhone or Apple Watch can lead you straight to it. Thanks to its expanded Precision Finding range1,2 and built-in Ultra Wideband technology, you’ll see the exact distance and direction to head in — whether you left it on the counter or in the car.

Get by with a little help from over a billion friends. If you’ve left something behind, like at a café, the beach or the airport, the Find My network can leverage more than a billion iPhone, iPad and Mac devices while protecting your privacy every step of the way.

How does it work? Your AirTag sends out a secure Bluetooth® signal that can be detected by nearby devices in the Find My network. These devices send the location of your AirTag to iCloud — then you can go to the Find My app and see it on a map. The whole process is anonymous and encrypted to protect your privacy. And itʼs efficient, so thereʼs no need to worry about battery life or data usage.

Lost Mode

makes finding

things
even easier.

Just like your other Apple devices, AirTag can be put into Lost Mode. Then, when it’s detected by a device in the network, you’ll automatically get a notification. You can also set it so someone can get your contact info by tapping your AirTag with their NFC-capable smartphone — that’s the same technology that lets people pay for things with their phones.

Share your lost item’s location.

If you lose an item, you can temporarily share the location of your AirTag or Find My network accessory with others to help you find it — including more than 50 airlines, like Qantas, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines and United. It’s easy, private and secure. Simply share an item’s location in the Find My app. Sharing automatically stops when you are reunited with your item or expires after seven days.

Privacy is built in. Only you can see where your AirTag is. Your location data and history are never stored on the AirTag itself. Devices that relay the location of your AirTag also stay anonymous, and that location data is encrypted every step of the way. So not even Apple knows the location of your AirTag or the identity of the device that helps find it.

AirTag is designed to discourage
unwanted tracking. If someone else’s AirTag finds its way into your stuff, your iPhone or Android phone will notice it’s travelling with you and send you an alert. If you still havenʼt found it after a while, the AirTag will start playing a sound letting you know it’s there.

Of course, if you happen to be with a friend who has an AirTag, or on a train with a whole bunch of people with AirTag, don’t worry. These alerts only get triggered when an AirTag is separated from its owner.

Beautifully simple. A one‑tap setup instantly connects your AirTag with your iPhone or iPad. Enter a name for your AirTag, attach it to the item you want to track, and youʼre good to go. Want AirTag notifications on your Apple Watch too? No worries.

Long live the battery.

AirTag works for more than a year on a standard battery you can easily replace when your iPhone alerts you.3

Splish, splash.

Let’s say you’ve tagged your keys and — oops — dropped them in a puddle. Or they’re in the path of a colossal spill. Hey, that’s okay. Your AirTag is water and dust resistant.4

Initial it. Emoji it.

When you buy your AirTag from the Apple website or Apple Store app, you can have it personalised with your initials. An emoji. Or both. Itʼs free and easy, and it adds some fun.

Tracking a smaller footprint.

As we strive to become carbon neutral by 2030, the latest AirTag features 85 per cent recycled plastic in the enclosure and 100 per cent fibre-based packaging.

Improved Precision Finding works with AirTag (2nd generation) paired with iPhone Air or iPhone 15 or later (excluding iPhone 16e); availability varies by region. Precision Finding on Apple Watch requires an Apple Watch Series 9 or later, or Apple Watch Ultra 2 or later, with watchOS 26.2.1. Testing conducted by Apple in December 2025 using preproduction AirTag (2nd generation) units and software paired with iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone Air units running preproduction software. Battery life based on everyday average usage of playing sound and Precision Finding. Battery life varies with usage, environmental conditions, replacement battery manufacturer and many other factors; actual results will vary. AirTag is splash, water and dust resistant, and was tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP67 under IEC standard 60529 (maximum depth of 1 metre for up to 30 minutes). Splash, water and dust resistance are not permanent conditions, and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Refer to the Safety and Handling documentation for cleaning and drying instructions. Based on retail packaging as shipped by Apple. Breakdown of US retail packaging by weight. Adhesives, inks and coatings are excluded from our calculations of plastic content and packaging weight. All established final assembly supplier sites — those that have been Apple suppliers for more than one year — for AirTag are third-party–verified as Zero Waste by UL LLC (UL 2799 Standard). UL requires at least 90 per cent diversion through methods other than waste to energy to achieve Zero Waste to Landfill (Silver 90–94 per cent, Gold 95–99 per cent and Platinum 100 per cent) designations. Apple’s Regulated Substances Specification describes Apple’s restrictions on the use of certain chemical substances in materials in Apple products, accessories, manufacturing processes and packaging used for shipping products to Apple’s end-customers. Restrictions are derived from international laws or directives, regulatory agencies, eco-label requirements, environmental standards and Apple policies. Every Apple product is free of PVC and phthalates except for AC power cords in India, Thailand (for two-prong AC power cords) and South Korea, where we continue to seek government approval for our PVC and phthalates replacement. Apple products comply with the European Union Directive 2011/65/EU and its amendments, including exemptions for the use of lead such as high-temperature solder. Apple is working to phase out the use of these exempted substances for new products where technically possible.  Apple AirTag Shop and Learn Shop and Learn Store Mac iPad iPhone Watch Vision AirPods TV & Home AirTag Accessories Gift Cards Apple Wallet Apple Wallet Wallet Apple Pay Account Account Manage Your Apple Account Apple Store Account iCloud.com Entertainment Entertainment Apple One Apple TV Apple Music Apple Arcade Apple Fitness+ Apple News+ Apple Podcasts Apple Books App Store Apple Store Apple Store Find a Store Genius Bar Today at Apple Group Reservations Apple Camp Apple Store App Certified Refurbished Apple Trade In Financing Carrier Deals at Apple Order Status Shopping Help Consumer Law For Business For Business Apple and Business Shop for Business For Education For Education Apple and Education Shop for K-12 Shop for University For Healthcare For Healthcare Apple and Healthcare For Government For Government Apple and Government Apple Values Apple Values Accessibility Education Environment Privacy Racial Equity and Justice Supply Chain Innovation About Apple About Apple Newsroom Apple Leadership Career Opportunities Investors Ethics & Compliance Events Contact Apple More ways to shop: Find an Apple Store or other retailer near you.
